학교소개
University of West London (서런던 종합 대학교)의 음대인 London College of Music (LCM) 은 런던 Eailing 지역에 위치한 1887년에 설립된 전통있는 대학 중 한 곳 이다. 주니어 컬리지 (8~18세)부터 박사 학위까지 제공하며 영국내에서도 가장 세분화된 전공을 자랑한다. 특히 Popular Music 전공은 영국 내에서도 좋은 평가를 받으며 Electronic Music Production (전자음악 & 프로듀싱) 전공등 현대 음악 트렌드에 알맞는 전공도 있어 학생들의 관심을 끌고 있다.
다양한 장비가 구비된 스튜디오는 물론 런던 최초의 All Steinway School 로도 선정되며 (모든 어쿠스틱, 그랜드 피아노가 세계적으로 유명한 Steinway 사의 피아노로 채워지는 학교) 시설에도 많은 투자가 지속적으로 이루어 지고 있다.
많은 졸업생들이 현역 뮤지션으로 활동 하고 있으며 영국 Smoth Jazz의 개척자인 Acustic Alchemy 의 기타리스트
Greg Carmichel 가 LCM의 졸업생이기도 한다.
